Formatting fonts in Microsoft word
Formatting fonts in Microsoft word is very easy task. using this formatting tool, you can make the texts in the document bold, thin, large, medium and small in size. Before you read this blog, I recommend you to read part 2 of basic Microsoft word good.
Make Text bold in Microsoft word office
To make the text bold, you may have two options.
1st option
- Select the text you want make bold it.
- Press CTRL + B from the keyboard.
2nd option
- Select the text.
- Click on the letter B found on the font tool of home menu.
The following text is an example of making the text bold either of the two options.

Make text underline using Formatting fonts in Microsoft word
You may want to make the title, sentences, words or paragraph underlined. Hence, you can use two options.
1st option
- Select the word, sentence or title you planned to underlined
- Press CTRL + U from your keyboard
2nd option
- Select the word, sentence or title you planned to underlined.
- Click on U letter from the font tool of home menu.

To create underline, you can select type of line as follows.

Change font style of the text
You can use the following steps to change the font style (family) of the texts in your file.
- Select the title, sentence, paragraph or entire file text
- Go to the font tool of the home menu
- Click on the down arrow of the font drop down option as follows.

The following example shows how the font style is changed using the above steps.

Font size (text Size)
You can use the following steps to change the font size (text size) of the texts in your file.
- Select the title, sentence, paragraph or entire file text
- Go to the font tool of the home menu
- Click on the down arrow of the size drop down option or click on the large A and Small A as follows.

Example

Change font color
- Click on home menu.
- Go to font tool and click on A letter that has strong black or read line
- While pressing the Letter the following option will be displayed.

4. Then from the color option you can click on the color you want.
Example
The following example may go the same when printed in black. No problem what color is changed for those text is specified at the top of each text.

Text Background color
- Select the text or sentences.
- Go to the font tool of home menu.
- Click on the downward arrow near ab with brush icon.
